Upper abdominal pain, just below the right rib cage, can indicate gallbladder problems.  The pain can be triggered by eating certain foods, such as fatty meals, but also by things as innocent an apple or even a glass of water.

If you see your conventional medical doctor with these symptoms then you will probably be sent for an X-ray or Ultrasound test to look for gall stones.

Cholelithiasis, commonly known as Gallstones, are a mixture of cholesterol, bilirubin and calcium, found in the bile.  Under certain conditions a stone can block the bile duct causing extra pressure on the liver or pancreas which can result in pain.

Many people have gallstones without symptoms.  And many people have gallbladder symptoms even without stones.

The key factor that determines whether a stone will cause you problems is the thickness of your bile. As the bile thickens the stones which would normally settle to the bottom start to float up toward the duct.

Dr. Marina Rose, DC uses Chiropractic care and a Functional Nutrition approach to help people in and around San Francisco, CA to find and address the underlying cause of their gallbladder symptoms.

Dr Oz, suggests a Clock Dial method to identify the cause of any abdominal pain.  Imagine a clock lying on your belly.  When the stomach pain is at 10 o’ clock, it could be due to gallbladder problems. The pains may be sharp and strong and may last only for a few seconds.  Or it may be a dull ache that occurs along with nausea. If the pain is at 12 o’clock it is more likely to be acid reflux.

If you have these symptoms click here to take Dr. Rose’s Nutritional Profile Quiz and get an overview of what your nutritional imbalances could be. You’ll get your results immediately.
