Not feeling like yourself lately?

If you’re a woman in your mid 30’s to 50’s it could be the initial symptoms of perimenopause. Let’s look at some natural strategies to help you sail through the transition with ease.

We all know the stereotypical signs of menopause, the hot flashes and mood swings, but these symptoms can actually come at the later end of the perimenopause transition. So how does it all begin?

The early signs of menopause include the same symptoms that you may have experienced as PMS like breast swelling and tenderness, bloating, mood swings, and irritability. Plus, theres a few more like: trouble sleeping, weight gain, and brain fog. Dr. Chrsitiane Northrup also recognizes that perimenopause symptoms change over time.

The good news is that these symptoms are not inevitable. Some women do not experience any perimenopause symptoms atall.

What is their secret?

The key to good health during perimenopause lies in the adrenal glands, the glands responsible for your body’s stress response. That’s right, stress–or rather how well your body deals with it–is the key factor in determining how smooth your transition will be.

Functional Nutrition takes a holistic approach to perimenopause symptoms by targeting them at the source. Specialized lab testing can track your individual stress hormone levels and come up with a custom plan to make your adrenals healthy and your perimenopause symptoms vanish.

  1. I am so glad that I got the testing although I was surprised by the results. I am so glad of the support you have given me because I just wasn’t getting anywhere with Kaiser.

  2. Everything you write about is something I have experienced. Can being on the go all the time lead to adrenal stress? I know that I never had a weight problem until around the age of 45. Then it was impossible to maintain my slim figure. I need to take these tests you write about. Thanks again for the info!
